I am an artist based in Idaho Springs, CO – photography is my craft. I’m a visual storyteller and a facilitator of genuine connection. My work is so much more meaningful to me than simply taking pictures – I bear witness to the incredible love of couples, families, and friends. I thank God that he has blessed me with creative gifts and abundant love.
I am a Southern girl from Tennessee, but I lost my accent somewhere along the way. Now I’m a Colorado mountain-dweller – but I still love Southern biscuits, sweet tea, and pecan pie. While studying classical piano, I met my husband on the first day of college in Dr. Boud’s music theory class. We quickly became best friends, although he was slow to catch on that we were in love, as boys sometimes are. We love living out our “happily ever after” together and are celebrating 8 years of marriage this year.
I appreciate the nostalgia of all things vintage – I love real paper books to hold and touch, browsing antique shops, fields of lavender, hand written letters, printed photographs, and listening to Bing Crosby on the radio. And I live in a Victorian house in the heart of the cutest little mountain town in Colorado. I might have been born in the wrong century, according to my husband. You probably won’t be surprised then to learn that I also love film and analog cameras. I also want to adopt just about every animal that passes by…especially fluffy ones!
